Police Officer

The City of Marceline is accepting applications for a full time police officer.  Applicants must be twenty one (21) years of age, POST certified and have a high school diploma or GED.  Applicants should have knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, the democratic political process, common safety rules, regulations, procedures and practices to include effective restraint techniques, basic first aid and CPR.  Desired applicant will have strong communication, listening, public relations, and organizational skills.  Salary is dependent on qualifications.

Street Department Equipment Operator

The City of Marceline is accepting applications for a Street Department Equipment Operator. Applicants must be able to operate a variety of heavy machinery, trucks, and tools  utilized in construction, maintenance, and repair activities for the City of Marceline. Applicants must be able to work in extreme weather conditions and be available for overtime when required.

 

A high school diploma or GED is required.  Possession of a valid CDL driver's license or the ability to obtain one within six month of hire is required. Preferred candidate will reside within the Marceline School District or be willing to relocate within six months of hire.  Salary is based on qualifications. Municipal Swimming Pool Lifeguards

The City of Marceline is accepting applications for Lifeguards. Applicants must be 16 years of age by starting date.  Applicants must be available to work any regular and special pool hours, which includes any days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.  Positions require lifeguard certification, CPR and First Aid Training.  Lifeguards report directly to the Municipal Swimming Pool Manager.
