POSITION TITLE: Wastewater Plant Operator
The City of
Marceline is accepting applications for a Wastewater Plant Operator.
Applicants must be able to
under general supervision, perform a wide variety of skilled,
semi-skilled duties in the operation, maintenance, repairs and
inspection of wastewater treatment system components (lift stations,
holding tanks, grease traps, etc.) used in the operation of the City of
Marceline wastewater system; and performs related work as assigned.
Selected Applicant will be required to collect wastewater samples per
state regulations, perform process control laboratory testing, record
data and prepare regulatory reports, adjust chemical feed rates.
Selected applicant will be required to operate and maintain a range of
construction equipment, including a variety of power and hand tools.

available for overtime when required. This position requires rotating
weekend on-call duty.
high school diploma or GED is required.
Possession of a valid CDL driver's license or the ability to obtain one
within six month of hire is required. Preferred candidate possesses a MO
Department of Natural Resources Wastewater B License or be able
to obtain one within four (4) years of hire date. Preferred candidate
will reside within a 35-mile radius of the City or be willing to
relocate within six months of hire. Salary is based on qualifications.
