The Street Department is responsible for 36 miles of existing streets and gravel alleys.   Other significant duties include: street and traffic signs, trimming/removing trees on right of ways, storm water systems (i.e. drop boxes, grates, ditches, culverts), mowing of right of ways, and snow removal of city streets/alleys. 

• Street resurfacing and or resealing

• Street cut repair and patching

• Tree trimming/removal in City right-of-ways and property

• Repair and maintenance of storm drains and general street drainage

• Mowing of city right of ways, vacant properties, mowing of airport (even years)

• General maintenance and upkeep of city reservoirs public access

• Sweep curb and gutter streets

• Snow removal of city streets, alleys, and North MO Regional Airport (even years)

• Assist with Parks maintenance/repairs

• Digging and filling of graves, lot sales, general maintenance of Mt. Olivet Cemetery

• Assist Electric Department with tree trimming/removal in lines

• Assist Water/Sewer with large projects
