Seasonal Algae Bloom Information
The
City of Marceline Water Department's goal is to operate its water
production and distribution systems
in the most efficient manner possible. That includes the production
of high quality water from the water
treatment facilities, providing timely maintenance and
repairs of the water infrastructure, promoting water conservation,
and providing water system up-grades to better service the customer.
The
Water Treatment Plant was built in 2001. Today, there are four (4)
employees operating the treatment plant and distribution system.
The water treatment capacity at the plant is 2,000,000 gallons per
day.
The
distribution system consists of two (2) 250,000 gallon water
towers. One located on each end of town. There are approximately
1,184 water meter services and 150 fire hydrants. The 4”
