Museum moves forward with planned extension to Ripley Park

Marceline, MO -Taking its lead from the recently completed Marceline Community Master Plan, the Walt Disney Hometown Museum is excited to announced a planned extension to E.P. Ripley Park beginning on Monday, April 2, 2018.

Located in the heart of Walt Disney's beloved Marceline, the new addition located between the eastern most side of Ripley Park and the railroad tracks will become the eventual home for a reimagined 'Midget Autopia' track and an additional stretch of green space that directly links the Santa Fe Railway tracks to the land they originally donated to create the park in 1898.

After consultation with the City and local businesses, physical work on the transformation will begin Monday with the removal of the road surface, surface grading, and the installation of curbs and sidewalks, forever restricting vehicle access on the east side of Ripley Park.  Barriers will go up around the worksite as early as Sunday, April 1, 2018.

Phase one of the project is expected to be completed by May 25, 2018.
