The City of Marceline is pleased to
announce the appointment of Mr. Jesse W. Wallis as the new City Manager. Mr.
Wallis brings a wealth of experience in municipal governance, policy
administration, and organizational management, making him an excellent choice to
lead our community.
Mr. Wallis holds
a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and has
pursued further certifications in water distribution, wastewater treatment, and
residential inspection. His diverse educational background is complemented by
his extensive professional experience. Most recently, he served as the City
Administrator/City Clerk for Hillsboro Missouri, where he directed all city
operations, including Public Works, Water, Sewer, Parks, and the Police
Department. His leadership there was marked by effective team mentorship,
strategic financial management of a $10 million budget, and successful
coordination of economic development activities.
Prior to his role
in Hillsboro, Mr. Wallis was the Director of Public Works for Pevely Missouri,
where he managed budgets exceeding $3.3 million and supervised ten full-time
employees. Additionally, Jesse served honorably in the United States Marine
Corps as part of the Third Marine Air Wing, where he honed his leadership and
operational skills.
Mr. Wallis is
known for his strategic planning abilities, financial acumen, and collaborative
leadership style. He excels in building relationships with stakeholders and
fostering a positive work environment, skills that will be invaluable in his new
role as City Manager of Marceline. The city looks forward to benefiting from his
vision, integrity, and dedication to enhancing community services and driving
development.
