Multi-Agency Search Warrant Leads to Arrest

 

Marceline, MO - On April 3, 2019, members of the Marceline Police Department, the NOMO Drug Task Force, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol served a search warrant at 823 North Kansas Marceline MO. Officers recovered items that field tested positive for opium and methamphetamine.

 

During course of the search, an improvised explosive device (IED) was discovered by the officers.  The device was safely secured.  The Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control Bomb Squad was notified and responded to Marceline where the device was safely and successfully defused.

 

Gary Lee Gladbach, 55, of Marceline was arrest and subsequently charged with the following charges:

  • Class E Felony-Delivery of a controlled substance

  • Class D Felony 2 counts- Possession of a controlled substance

  • Class D Felony- Unlawful possession of an explosive weapon

  • Class E Felony- Keeping or maintaining a public Nuisance

Gladbach is currently being held without bond in the Macon County Jail.

 

The Marceline Police Department was assisted by the Linn County Prosecuting Attorney, Brookfield Police Department, NOMO Drug Task Force, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, and Missouri State Highway Patrol DDCC Bomb Squad.
