Black Knight Robotics rank 15th in regional competition

Marceline, MO – Marceline High School Robotics team "Black Knight Robotics" competed at the Greater Kansas City Regional FIRST® Robotics Competition on March 12-14, 2015.  The competition was a 3-day event and they completed the qualification rounds with the rank of 15 out of 54.

More than 1,000 high school students, representing 54 teams from around the region, participated for a chance to win regional awards and advance to the FIRST World Championship.

The competing teams had just six weeks to build a robot to compete using a kit of parts provided by FIRST and a standard set of rules.  The 2015 game, RECYCLE RUSHSM. is played by two Alliances of three teams each, competing in fast-paced matches with student-operated robots, working together to score points by stacking and moving recycling containers and tossing away trash.

The Greater Kansas City Regional FIRST Robotics Competition was sponsored by FIRST® Kansas City, RECYCLE RUSHSM and the KC STEM Alliance

Well done to the Black Knight Robotics Team!
