City of Marceline and the Marceline Industrial Development Authority (IDA) is
proud to announce a ground breaking ceremony for the City’s newest business:
Power, Process & Industrial (PPI). The ceremony will be held at 9:00 am,
Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at the North Industrial Park (Old Airport location,
entering from Broadway Avenue). This event is open to the public.
City and the IDA have been working together for several years with the goal of
opening the North Industrial Park for business. The result of this collaboration
is the signing of an agreement between the City of Marceline and a new company
Power, Process & Industrial (PPI). The agreement is for a purchase of ten acres
for their new facility, with an option to expand an additional ten acres.
is a heavy industrial contractor that performs planned/emergency maintenance and
repairs in all types of industrial plants, i.e. coal fired power plants and
biofuel plants. They will also operate a subdivision under PPI, Sentry Steel
Solutions, to manufacture various agricultural products, air conditioner
security cages and trailers. Sentry Steel Solutions will also perform custom
welding for the public as well as mobile welding capabilities. PPI will make
hiring qualified local personnel from the local area a top priority.
PPI’s new 9600 square foot building will be erected in the next few months to
meet their start-up needs. The City of Marceline will be working closely with
PPI on the infrastructure to make this happen.
